Solar Eclipse



The moon will come between the Earth and the Sun, creating its mystic shadow crosses over the Sun this afternoon. Indians in the northern part of the country will be able to witness a partial solar eclipse today. The eclipse will begin around 4.30 pm (IST) and end after 6 pm here. It is in Jammu, the maximum eclipse (31.3 per cent) will be seen. Here it will begin at 4.23 pm (IST) and end at 6.08 pm.



While Chandigarh will see a 23.4 per cent eclipse, Delhi can see 17 per cent, and Bhopal will see 10.6 per cent of it. It is in countries like Ghana, Togo, Nigeria, Chad, Greece, Turkey, Georgia, Kazakhastan, Russia and Mongolia, a full eclipse will be visible - Libya being the best viewing location expected.
