Attention sky gazers and thrill seekers. Venus is reaching its peak brightness for 2005, and is casting its very best shadows right now. Try it yourself. Difficult, yes, but worth the effort! The shadows are very delicate. The slightest movement would destroy their distinct sharpness. To catch the faint Venusian shadow, one has to be able to stand still long enough for the amount of time needed to do it. But, the achievement is worth the patience.
