Space scientists and researchers have discovered “the most massive and bulkiest” star in our Universe. They even proclaimed that they have succeeded in weighing the massive Star! According to the Astronomers, this massive Star is a part of a binary system and is opined to be the most bulkiest of them all. It is estimated to be of size 114 times more than that of our very own star – the Sun.
Space scientists were of the view that Stars do exist in our universe that are as massive as the size more than 150 times the magnitude of SUN. After this discovery, they suggest that this is the first time a Star has been discovered which is 114 times bulkier than the SUN. The previous record holder weighed 83 solar masses only. This new massive Star is christened -the A1, it is infact the brightest and thus the hottest of the cluster of stars named the -NGC 3603.
This group of stars is huge in radii and opined to be the youngest star cluster too. This star cluster is estimated to be some 20,000 light years away from our planet EARTH. The technique they incorporated involved the “Space Very Large Telescope” and the most precise –“Hubble Space Telescope”.
The Space scientists took into account the Star’s orbital patterns to measure it’s curb weight. Every Star has the maximum solar mass limit of 150, and above that mass, the star tends to be unstable and out of equilibrium, which inturn pushes the pressure outside the Star making it explode. This amazing discovery has caught attention of many worldwide Space researchers and Space scientists who tend to conduct a meeting in this regard - the Canadian Astronomical Society.
