Another ground breaking development in the field of space science. Merging of two black holes has been modeled several times. But, it is for the first time, the ripples in space-time created by two merging two black holes has been modeled by a new powerful computer simulation.
The fabric of space-time is thought to shaken by powerful gravitational waves, when two spiraling black holes moves towards each other and eventually merge. And the “waveform” signatures created in the simulation should help researchers identify the ripples in the data from future gravitational wave detectors.
