
Despite a crack in the insulating foam fuel tank of the space shuttle, the NASA officials have decided to go ahead with the plan of launching the Discovery today — July 4.
According to NASA, the piece of foam broken off the fuel tank of Discovery is just about the size of a bread crust and it is too small to cause any damage. The crack was spotted during a routine inspection using cameras and sensors.
