Recently, a computer simulation is being designed for this purpose by international team of physicists. Its result is being published in the latest Science Express. According to the article, interaction mainly relies on the amount of hot gases enclosing black holes, eventually reducing their spinning rate. As they enter in the solar system, gravitational waves are being released. Thus, it extracts a huge amount of energy from the system. This process makes them drift closer and merge.
