Mercury has been a complex puzzle for the researchers. The closest planet from the sun has always been the center of mystery. The researchers in the United States have discovered molten fluid inside the small planet. The process of making this finding has been the same as used by cooks to find out if the egg is hard boiled or raw.
The finding is helpful in validating the findings that mercury has a small magnetic field. The most common explanation for the magnetic field is that planets with a molten interior have a magnetic field. It is evident that Moon and Mars show evidence of ancient magnetic fields. The Messenger spacecraft is on its way to Mercury and is expected to arrive sometime next year. In the meanwhile attempts are being conducted to learn more and more about the planets core. To confirm the findings radar signals were sent at the planet and echo was received which showed the roughness of the planet’s surface.
