Tonight between 2244 and 2358 GMT, the Moon will be fully immersed in the shadow of the Earth.

Astronomers are eagerly waiting for it to happen and they are also claiming that the eclipse will be the best in the recent years.
The eclipse will begin at 2018 GMT. The eclipse will be visible from the whole of Europe, Africa, South America and eastern parts of US and Canada.
The eclipse will turn the usually white Moon to red. Astronomers also stated that it was totally safe to observe the Moon with naked eyes as during eclipse the Moon will be less bright that during a normal full moon.
The Moon will acquire a reddish color and it will seem as suddenly Mars has come a thousand times closer and is just hanging there in the sky.
Lunar eclipse occurs when the Sun, Earth and the Moon are aligned in a near straight line and the shadow of Earth completely engulfs the Moon.
Professional astronomers will also enjoy the sight rather than worrying about any science.

Let’s hope that tonight the sky is free from any clouds so that we all can enjoy the spectacle.
