A recent report shows that Congressman Ken Calvert passes a resolution 336, passed by both the House and Senate, to congratulate NASA on the 25th anniversary of the first flight of the Space Transportation System, otherwise known as Space Shuttle. The resolution talks about the history of the first flight, the return of the flight and its contribution to the Space Exploration.

As per Calvert:

I would like to offer my heartfelt thanks to the dedicated members of NASA and our aerospace industry who have given so much over the last quarter century to further human space flight. The Space Shuttle has inspired a generation to reach for the stars, study math and science and keep America technologically competitive in a changing world.
