STS-121 mission specialist Lisa Nowak waves after being fitted with her launch and entry suit Wednesday June 28, 2006Discovery is ready to take off for the first space shuttle flight in nearly a year. But, the clouds in the forecast raised doubts if it can lift-off the launch pad this weekend.



The clouds capable of producing lightning provide a 60 percent chance of preventing the launch during the 10-minute window Saturday afternoon. Kathy Winters, shuttle weather officer informed this. Though the forecast remained the same for Sunday and Monday, it was expected to deteriorate later in the week.
